I was talking to my mentor/advisor/professor/friend Chris Conley and we were discussing which podcasts we listen to. I couldn’t find an easy way of sharing the list short of showing him my ipod and I ended up emailing it to him instead. I realised that I’ve had this conversation with a few of my friends and thought I would share the list of the podcasts I listen to and get suggestions on any new ones you think I might find interesting. I also decided to add it as a permanent list to my blog.

Most of these, I listen to every day or as often as they are updated. As I go down to the bottom of the list, it’s more infrequent.
Also, if any of you know how I can get listen to these podcasts on a blackberry, that would be great.

This show looks amazing. After watching Johnny Lee’s Wiimote hacks, the idea of quickly prototyping futurisitic interactions using existing, everyday tools has fascinated me.
Tonight’s the debut of the Discovery Channel’s Prototype This!, “a new TV show centered around conceiving of, designing, and testing prototypes of robots, gadgets, machines, and other things.” Here’s a YouTube teaser of the team in action:

Our previous write-up of the show is here; on the “Submit Your Ideas” section on their own website, the team is taking suggestions for “cool builds.”
Airs tonight at 10pm, meaning you should be able to grab the torrent by about 11:20 or so.

I wanted to update a prior post where I had exposed some false business truisms. The recent financial crisis has given me the opportunity to update that list with a couple more.
Free markets tend towards equilibrium - Untrue says George Soros in his recent interview with Fareed Zakaria
Financial markets can self regulate – You know this is untrue if you’ve been following the recent events in the financial sector with the collaps of Bear Stearns, Fannie and Freddie and of course Lehman, Wachovia and so many more..
